how many platforms: 7 (5 in use: Platform 1 is used by EWS and Freightliner and Platform 7 by National Express East Coast for servicing their HSTs)
speed limits: No idea
busy station: Yes
what toc: First Scotrail, CrossCountry, National Express East Coast, EWS, Freightliner
what trains: Class 158, Class 170, Class 220/221, HSTs
are shops available?: Yes - WHSmith
is it safe to come after dark? No, it's near the red light zone
staffed station: Yes
the stopping trains are every 15-30 minutes here (I think)
